2012 Turkey Trot a Wonderful Success- and a ton of fun!

Kids First would like to thank all those who made our 2012 Turkey Trot such a wonderful success: all of our participants, sponsors, volunteers, and community supporters. Despite a cold wind, we had 150 people register for the 5K, ranging in age from 4 to 74! Several course records were set (see below) and everyone had a fantastic time. The "Diaper Dash" may just have been the cutest event ever held in Elizabeth City, and the kids had a blast during the "Tot Trot." We had a record number of participants in the "Gobble Wobble" mile- overall just a wonderful event!

We had 150 runners in this year’s 5K (up from 122 in 2011), including 24 returning runners. We hope to see you all again in 2013! For a listing of the official race results, courtesy of Run The East, please click here.

Here are some fun highlights…..
